The Credo Care Foundation is a charitable organisation seeking to support foster and respite carers of disabled children and those with complex medical needs and limited lifespans.
The Credo Care Foundation is a charity created to support foster and respite carers who provide homes for disabled children, including those with complex medical needs and limited lifespans.
Many carers need major home adaptations or specialist equipment to create a safe, accessible and welcoming environment. While Disability Facilities Grants may be available, they do not always cover the full cost, and the Foundation aims to help bridge that shortfall.
As it begins its journey, the Foundation will consider contributions based on individual circumstances, helping carers focus on the children’s needs and wellbeing. Applications are expected to open in Spring 2027.

Over the past 25 years, Credo Care Fostering Ltd has been privileged to work with truly inspirational individuals who, with selflessness generosity provide loving homes for children with a diverse range of complex disabilities and special needs. Their dedication continues to make a profound difference, demonstrating the immense value and potential of every child.
As part of Credo Care Fostering's Silver Jubilee celebrations, Damien Mead and Roy Hipkiss, co-founders of Credo Care Fostering, using the insights and experience gained after a quarter century of work in this field, established a new charitable initiative: The Credo Care Foundation (Charity Number: 1217757), which was approved by the Charity Commission on 22nd April 2026.
NB: Credo Care Foundation is completely separate and independent of Credo Care Fostering Ltd but builds on the legacy, inspiration and experience gained from the work of that agency.

We are honoured that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester not only marked Credo Care Fostering’s 25th anniversary but also officially inaugurated The Credo Care Foundation by unveiling a commemorative plaque during her visit to our agency in Lydd on 22nd May 2026.

As the Foundation begins its journey, its mission is to support families caring for a child with disabilities where there is a financial gap between available disability grants and the costs of essential home adaptations or specialist equipment. Subject to individual circumstances, the Foundation may be able to provide contributions to help bridge this gap.
The Foundation is expected to open for applications for funding in the Spring 2027. Full details of how to apply for funding and the process we follow will be published on this website in due course.
